Sunday 26th September 2021 – 2.30pm
Simon Ainge, Organist at Billesdon Church, will play works composed by George Frideric Handel and others in a special recital to celebrate the birthday of Rev’d William Hanbury, also on 26th September, who was responsible for organising the first performance of Handel’s, Messiah in a Parish Church in 1759. We are delighted to welcome Simon who has selected a lovely and varied programme for the occasion.
Please note the event is ticketed – £5 and £8, see full details below – and please note that full facilities as well as car parking are available at the Langton Community Hall which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk further along, just after the school.
Recital starts promptly at 2.30pm, so please take your seats in advance and allow time to park at the Community Hall and walk down. Concert will last approximately one hour.
