Returning by popular demand! After the first successful West End concert at St Peter`s in 2018, we are delighted to bring the West End to Church Langton once again, for a special charity concert.

On Sunday 6th September, four singers from the West End will perform a variety of songs from the shows and other famous hits. This promises to be a sought-after event and early purchase of tickets is highly-recommended.

Doors will open at 4.15pm for a 5pm start.

Canapes, bar and raffle

Canapes will be served during the interval and there will be a bar. There will also be a raffle with more than £500 of prizes!

Free parking will be available at the Hanbury Community Hall, which will be open for toilet facilities.

Supporting Charities

The concert is a charity fundraising event. Funds raised will go towards the work of the Market Harborough Branch of MacMillan Cancer Support and also St Peter`s Church, which is looking to install toilet facilities.

About Us

St Peter’s church is set in the village of Church Langton, in south Leicestershire, near to the town of Market Harborough. Worship is Anglican (Church of England). We use the ‘Common Worship’ red book for our services. St Peter’s is part of the Launde Minster Community in the Diocese of Leicester. The church serves three villages in its parish, East Langton, West Langton and Church Langton village itself. Our regular worship pattern is Holy Communion on the second and fourth Sunday of the month, dovetailing with our fellow churches, St Leonard’s, Thorpe Langton (first Sunday of the month, evening) and St Andrew’s Tur Langton, third Sunday.

St Peter’s is also part of the wider Launde Deanery Minster Community. Our weekly services and worship pattern are published here, along with a newsletter every week. Full details and links below.

The building is managed day-to-day by its PCC – or Parochial Church Council. This a small team of volunteers who are usually lead by a Priest-in-Charge. At this time, our Benefice does not have a parish priest (a time called ‘Interregnum’) but we have the support of local retired clergy who help the PCC with services and pastoral care for its parishioners and wider church family. We are a friendly and welcoming team who enjoy meeting visitors.

Eco Church – St Peter’s has recently joined the Eco Church project, with the aim to improve the building and reduce its carbon footprint and to develop processes that better serve the wider environment.

Support St Peter’s Church Building Refurbishments

We are currently in the process of working to improve the facilities within the building, including installing a toilet for our visitors and worshippers. Every donation, however small, helps towards making everyone more comfortable when they visit and means that we can offer more events, worship and continue our work within our community.

Donations can be made securely online with our ‘Give a Little’ account. You can also donate on a regular basis to help with the day to day running costs. Click the button below or point your camera phone at the QR Code.
