About St Peter's Church, Church Langton, Leicestershire

St Peter's church is set in the village of Church Langton, in south Leicestershire, near to the town of Market Harborough. Worship is Church of England (Anglican). St Peter's is one of the churches forming the Benefice of the Langtons and Shangton in the Diocese of Leicester. St Peter's serves three villages, Church Langton, West Langton and East Langton and has friends and visitors from all over. We love to meet new people and visitors. Everyone is welcome! The PCC decided to fly the flag today as a tribute to and remember, everyone lost in New York and Washington twenty years ago on this day. It was a tragedy that changed the world forever. It will fly again tomorrow for our Service of Thanksgiving to remember everyone here in our community who we lost in the past eighteen months, along with those in the rest of the country and the wider world. This too, feels like a tragedy that will change the world forever.

We shall never forget.

We have all had a very difficult time this last eighteen months.

There are people we need to remember and so many to be grateful for.
Now things are a little easier with the lifting of restrictions, we invite you to this Service of Thanksgiving in St. Peter’s.

Ride and Stride at St Peter’s

Ride + Stride is the single largest source of income for many Historic Churches Trusts enabling them to make Grants to places of Christian worship. Taking place on the 2nd Saturday of September the funds raised can be split between the nominated Trust and the participants chosen church or chapel.

As ever Ride+Stride is a wonderful way to enjoy getting out and about safely as well as raising much-needed funds to support Grant applications from churches and chapels across the country. 

St Peter’s is delighted to be taking part again – so look forward to welcoming you on foot, bike or hoof!

Access

No wheelchair access, uneven ground in churchyard

Important information – Please note! There are no toilet facilities inside church, but car parking and toilet facilities available at Langton Community Hall approx five minutes walk from church, where Cream Teas will be available in aid of St Peter’s Church.

This event will run in line with local & national government guidelines at the time of the festival. Please do not attend if anyone in your family is exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms.
