About Mosaic

Mosaic are a group of five voices who have sung together for many years. The group of singers have performed in churches all over the East Midlands, notably at Seagrave, Kings Bromley, Maidwell and Nottingham. This is their first appearance at St Peter’s in Churhc Langton and we look forward to hearing their beautiful song.

Their programme covers a wide range of music from polyphony and madrigals and Tudor anthems through to folk and modern arrangements of popular songs.

And if you’re curious about ‘polyphony’, it is a type of musical texture consisting of two or more simultaneous lines of independent melody, as opposed to a musical texture with just one voice or a texture with one dominant melodic voice accompanied by chords… So in many ways, a weaving of pattern in sound, which in visual terms, might be described as a mosaic… Should be a lovely experience.

We look forward to welcoming Mosaic and you to St Peter’s for a unique finale to this Summer Sunday Concert season.

Worship for Launde Deanery

Including St Peter’s Church Langton

Welcome to September and the beautiful season of Autumn. According to the Met Office, this summer has been the hottest in the UK since records began; so the rains we’ve had in the first few days of September have been most welcome.

New month and new service pattern.

We are delighted to share updated information for the whole of the Launde Deanery. With a special note of a late change for St. Peter’s, as Rev Martin will not be able to take the Service on 28th September.  Therefore, Maxine Johnson will take an All Age Worship service that day.

Enjoy the beautiful and bountiful season of Autumn and we look forward to seeing you soon,

The local community newsletter came out this week and should be uploaded soon to the Community Hall website.
