Christmas Cards 2021

We are delighted to offer two Christmas card designs featuring St Peter’s church, the first shows the church in the winter, with snow all around. The second features the ‘Shepherd’s Window’, found inside the church. A pre-Raphaelite style design, which shows the moment when the host of angels fill the skies to tell the shepherds that Jesus is born.

The front cover wording is ‘Christmas Greetings’ and the wording inside is ‘Wishing you Peace, Love and Joy’

The Christmas cards are on sale now for the church – £1 each or £9 for 10. You can buy them after the service in church on Sunday, or email r.folwell@btinternet.com

Cream teas 2021

Update and funds raised

The Cream Teas have now finished for the year.  Thanks to all who supported us through out the Summer and a big, big thank you to all the helpers.

It was decided because of the Covid Pandemic to move the Cream Teas to the Langton Community Hall in order that folks had access to toilet facilities and washing of hands. Whilst the Community Hall was lovely, it was not without it’s difficulties and folks did miss the atmosphere of the Church, even though it was warmer!

The total raised after expenses was £1,146.00. This will go towards the upkeep of the building, many thanks once more, see you next year!

Thank you!

Organ Recital at St Peter’s

Sunday 26th September 2021 – 2.30pm

Simon Ainge, Organist at Billesdon Church, will play works composed by George Frideric Handel and others in a special recital to celebrate the birthday of Rev’d William Hanbury, also on 26th September, who was responsible for organising the first performance of Handel’s, Messiah in a Parish Church in 1759. We are delighted to welcome Simon who has selected a lovely and varied programme for the occasion.

Please note the event is ticketed – £5 and £8, see full details below – and please note that full facilities as well as car parking are available at the Langton Community Hall which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk further along, just after the school.
