The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III

Posted on by

We at St Peter’s and our church community offer our sincere best wishes for King Charles and Queen Camilla on their most special day.

The King’s Prayer

God of compassion and mercy
whose Son was sent not to be served but to serve,
give grace that I may find in thy service perfect freedom
and in that freedom knowledge of thy truth.
Grant that I may be a blessing to all thy children,
of every faith and conviction,
that together we may discover the ways of gentleness
and be led into the paths of peace.
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

This prayer is part of the ceremony on Saturday 6th May.

We are very excited about the Coronation and the church is decorated ready. Huge thanks to Sue for working her floral magic and to Maxine J for the photos. Here’s the entrance to the church, why not come and see them and take a look inside too!

Meanwhile, how about sending your photos from this momentous weekend to post on our website gallery? You can email or post on our Facebook page. It should be a memorable weekend!

God save the King! 🇬🇧
