Remembrance Sunday 2026

Sunday, 8 November 2026, Church Langton

10:30am – All welcome

The annual service of Remembrance will take place at St Peter’s Church, starting at the slightly earlier time of 10:30am, allowing time to start and be ready for the Silence at 11am.

Worship will be led by Rev Martin Hathaway and follow the Royal British Legion service with readings from the Old and New Testament.

All our Langtons churches will be represented by their churchwardens and the names of our villagers who made the ultimate sacrifice will be read during the service in the Act of Remembrance.

Wreaths will be blessed and laid on our various village memorials after the main service concludes, in separate acts of worship. These will be around 11:30am, if you prefer to attend outside church.

Donate to this year’s Poppy Appeal

All proceeds and donations from this service will be forwarded on behalf of the Langtons to support Harborough’s branch of the Royal British Legion. We look forward to welcoming you for this very special service.

If you are unable to attend on the day, you can also donate directly to the Royal British Legion UK on their website here: https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-involved/donate
