All Souls service

There will be a short Service of All Souls in St. Peter’s Church on Saturday 31st October at 5.00pm; this will be taken by Lay Reader, Maxine Johnson. This service is to remember departed loved ones whether many years ago or recent.

During the service, the names of all those who have been put forward will be read out and there will be an opportunity to light a candle in memory of your family member or friend. If you want a member of your family or close friend to be remembered please email or phone Maxine with the details, or drop a note through her door.

COVID-19 Guidance – Please advise via Direct Message if you would like to attend as we need to know in advance. You can also contact Maxine Johnson directly, on 01858 545 745 or by email on maxinejohnson.1@btinternet.com

If you use the Track and Trace App on your phone, the QR code is on display in church, otherwise, you will have to sign in for us upon arrival.

You must wear a mask or face covering at all times (unless permitted otherwise) and only sit in the designated seats. Hand sanitizer is available upon entry to the building.

Thank you

Home prayers on Sundays…

Following the suspension of all worship in churches throughout the UK, prayers will be said at 10.30am on Sunday mornings by our Lay Reader, Maxine Johnson.
This is the time services are usually held at St. Peter’s on Sunday mornings.

You can join in with the prayers from home at the same time.
Maxine will ring the minute bell just before, to remind everyone the prayers will commence.

Dowload the prayer service sheet here:

The prayers can also be said together as a family or by yourself at any time of the day.

Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.

Services – postponed/cancelled

Sadly, all worship is now suspended indefinitely but we are working on alternatives to keep in touch and pray together. We start on Sunday mornings with Home Prayers at 10.30am
